For the new licensing period beginning January 1, 2025, the Swiss Casinos Group submitted five license applications and one license extension application for its online casino to the Swiss Federal Gaming Board (SFGB). The SFGB will now inspect all submitted applications. Swiss Casino will receive notice on the Federal Council’s decision in October 2023. 

With the Introductory Act of the Federal Gambling Act (EG BGS), slot machines within restaurants will once again be authorized within the canton of Zurich. Swiss Casinos’ Chairman of the Board Hans-Ulrich Rihs and CEO Marc Baumann take a stand on the issue.
