The Swiss Poker Championship 2024 has come to an end. Between March 25th and June 2nd, 2024, during the online qualifiers, a total of 3,653 enthusiastic poker players tried to secure one of the coveted eight seats for the Live Final +115K on June 9th, 2024 at the Swiss Casino Zurich.

The best from Switzerland

In order to secure one of the eight highly contested seats at the SPC Live Final, the finalists first had to prove themselves in one of the four Step 3 online tournaments. They either got into Step 3 by winning a previous special tournament, a Step 2 tournament or by paying a CHF 300 buy-in. The eight finalists of the SPC Live Final +115K represented a diverse mix of poker enthusiasts from across Switzerland. Among them were WSOPC Gold Ring owner Sam Düzgün and last year's SPC fifth-place finisher Enes Avdagic.

Premiere of the Heads-Up table

Swiss Casino Zurich provided the perfect location for the exciting SPC final, which lasted several hours. The atmosphere was electric as every participant wanted to win the title of Swiss Poker Champion 2024. After Augustin-Iancu Ratiu secured third place, the poker tournament switched to Heads-Up mode. Unlike in previous years, the spectacular duel was played out at the Heads-Up table, which is unique to Swiss Casinos, adding to the intensity and drama of this decisive moment. The two opponents, Samyo Zhi Hua Bounlom and Andreas Moser, played each other for all they were worth. After chip leader Samyo Zhi Hua Bounlom went all-in with queen-jack offsuit against Andreas Moser's pair of sevens, the all-important hand began and the tension was palpable. When the flop fell and only one jack appeared, without another seven in sight, Samyo was crowned Swiss Poker Champion 2024 to huge cheers!

Generous poker packages

The Live Final prize money of CHF 115,000 was offered in full by Swiss Casinos. The SPC winner, Samyo Zhi Hua Bounlom, was not only rewarded with the prize money of CHF 20,000, but also got an exclusive Las Vegas package for the World Series of Poker (WSOP) with a value of CHF 15,000. The runner-up, Andreas Moser, was presented with the prize money of CHF 16,000 paired with a Barcelona package for the European Poker Tour (EPT) with a value of CHF 7,700. The same applied to the third-placed player, Augustin-Iancu Ratiu, who also got a Barcelona package in addition to the prize money of CHF 12,000. These packages included return flights from Zurich to Las Vegas or Barcelona, a four-star hotel stay for one person and the buy-in for the main event of the respective poker event. The generous prizes enticed players to compete fiercely for the prestigious title and the opportunity to participate in international poker tournaments.

Swiss Casinos expresses its gratitude to all the poker players who participated in this year's edition of the Swiss Poker Championship and extends best wishes to the winers for success at the WSOP and EPT. The next edition of the SPC is expected to take place in spring 2025. Until then, we invite all poker enthusiasts to participate in the regular poker tournaments at Swiss Casinos' online casino.
